Don't forget to use the podcasts at http://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/en/elementary-podcasts

It's also a good idea to make English/foreign friends on Facebook and chat with them in English. If you can, it's even better to skype them and speak face-to-face. But be careful and stay safe when chatting/skyping! It's always a good idea that your parents supervise you and definitely tell your parents if something strange happens!

It was so nice to have you as students! :)

In our lesson today we did listening, writing and speaking practice dor the upcoming KET exam.
For homework, here is a link of many podcasts that you can listen to improve your listening skills. Start with Series 1 episode 1 and do the tasks below each audio.

Read some tips about the Speaking test.

Next week we're going to read about famous people, so here I found a text about a famous English teenage blogger Charlie! Do the tasks below the text.

Hello class,

In our last lesson we finished Unit 19.1 by working on time prepositions like in/on/at.
For those who missed the lesson, please do all exercises at page 119 ex. 5,6,7 and exercise 19 page 147.

Please don't miss any more lessons, because this can affect your result in the exam. 
With a score between 70-75% in the mock test and by missing lessons, I cannot guarantee you will pass the exam.

Homework for May 26

Hello my dear KET Teens,

In our last lesson on Thursday we did some more Listening practice, we spoke about ways of communicating (Unit 19.1) amd we focused a lot on the pronunciation, especially on the sound /i:/.

Your homework for Monday is exercises 3 and 5 from the worksheet given in class and Writing Part 9 (worksheets from class).


Here there's a review of a music website, where you can sing and learn the text of your favourite songs! Do the tasks below the text and check the website! It's GREAT fun! I tried it and had so much fun!

Homework for May 22

Hi class,

Today we finished the exercises from Unit 18.2 by practising some speaking and writing skills. We also did some listening practice.

For Thursday please do Exam Folder 10, pages 114-117 and watch this video about Seaside Entertainment in Britain. As usual, do the tasks below the video, check your answers and if it's necessary, look at the transcript.

Homework for May 19 and exam date

Hello everyone,

Our lesson today was about how to have a healthy lifestyle and live long. We did a quiz and we discovered the surprising body age of some of you! :) We also looked at first conditional.
For those who missed the lesson, please study pages 112 and 113.

For everybody, please go to page 147 and do exercise 18 and from the photocopy I gave you last time or before do exercise 4 (Grammar), p. 39. From the worksheet I gave you today do exercises 1, 2 and the grammar exercises 8B.

Also, check this text about Vegetarian UK and do the tasks below.



The exam will be on 28 June and the speaking can be between 21-29 June. You must subscribe to the exam until 13 June. Oriana and Marta, please wait until the second mock result.

Homework for May 8

Hi everyone,

In our last lesson we continued talking about technology in Unit 17.2 (Oriana please study it on your own).

For next time please finish your homework from the photocopy I gave you last week (Unit 17 Science and technology) and write a For Sale notice for a computer game, mobile or other item (object) that you own (have). Include :

• how much it originally cost
• the sale price
• details of the product (e.g. how old it is, colour, how it works...)

Write between 25-35 words.
